about

2013 brings us a brand new full length album by Harpers Ferry's very own Blind Slime (aka J. Adams). His latest work "Mid-Atlantic Gothic" sees some sonic growth since 2011's release of "True Country". Here we find a more refined and articulately crafted pop album, dwelling in far darker shadows than its predecessor. An exercise in epic introspection. Although the contents of this album conjure up epic imagery of towering gothic cathedrals, cobwebs, caped vampire killers and dark corridors, the album also induces a peaceful quieting effect on the listener. Blind Slime has been called "Halloween rock" in the past, but Mid-Atlantic Gothic might more appropriately be tagged as "Funeral-pop", due to its precision and class. Headphones are encouraged as well as darkness. Happy listening!
