Tracing Rays is the fourth full length solo album by Dutch producer Arjen Schat under his Ohrwert moniker. Although much of what Arjen does musically is minimal by nature, Tracing Rays takes it to an even deeper level. Here we find some of the most tastefully produced minimal dub techno music we've heard in years. Over the course of these eight tracks, Tracing Rays takes the listener into a subconscious lull where time seems to stand still and silence becomes involuntary. Clouds of obscured metamorphic melodies loom over banks of rhythmic subsonic moguls and refined percussive precision, drawing the listener into a relaxed haze of absolute sonic bliss. Essential listening for the minimal techno connoisseur!
